Low level leg pain is really common, especially in the elderly population. Regular massage can help to relieve these symptoms.

The underlying cause of low-level aches and pains in the legs is not known. It is really common and I often see it in runners, weightlifters and the elderly. It appears that the legs are tired and ache as a result. If you know someone who is experiencing these symptoms, they could try:

  1. Hydrotherapy, running cold water down the legs at the end of their shower for 30 secs
  2. Using almond oil to “milk” the legs before bed for 5 mins
  3. Wearing compression socks for short periods during the day.

These basic and simple tips can go a long way in reducing pain in the legs that comes along with age, or overuse.
