Weight loss supplements

I’m a big advocate of intermittent fasting not only because it’s a useful way to lose weight but because its a lifestyle.

With conventional diets (low carb, low calorie, low fat) we lose weight in the short-term but eventually drop-off and gain the weight back + extra weight.

Systems like Weight Watchers slimming world are very expensive ways to lose weight and again are largely unsustainable.

Fasting is it is a lifestyle, in line with that consistency and time is key.

A question I often get asked is how to speed up the weight loss process.

The fundamentals of weight loss are intermittent fasting, clean eating, exercise and mind interventions like meditation and cbt (to change our self image and associations with food).

There are how are supplements which have preliminarily been shown to have positive results on weight loss

I am very conservative about recommending supplements as there is so much fake and unproven stuff out there and so have only referenced compounds which have been shown to be effective in clinical trials.

I’m not big fan of supplements and they should only ever be an adjunct once you get the fundamentals in place.
